Kids DIY fairy wand birthday invitations
If you are hosting a fairy themed kids party, then these DIY fairy wand birthday invitations are the perfect accessory. They are quick, easy and fun to make; and you will only need a few simple materials.
You will need:
GLITTER FOAM SHEETS
PAPER STAR INVITE TEMPLATES (it's very easy to make these)
We found glitter foam sheets in the craft secrion at our local $2 shop, but they are also available from many places online. I made the star template on a word document where you can easily change the color and thickness of the border. You can then type out whatever message you wish, leaving a space to hand write the guests name.
MAKING THE WAND:
I started by creating the star template on on a Word document. Once I printed them out, I used one has a template, placed it on the back of a sheet of glitter foam, drew around it, then cut it out.
Next, I hot glued one of the wooden bamboo skewers to the back of the glitter sheet, then added some extra glue over the top to attach the ribbon(s). Finally, the paper star template was then glued over the top and the ribbon was tied in a bow or left like a streamer.
VOILA! You have made a fairy wand birthday invite.
