PIN BOARD NUMBER SEQUENCING

PIN BOARD NUMBER SEQUENCING

This easy set up hands on activity is a fun way for beginning learners to show how well they can recognize what numbers look like and show the correct order of the numbers 1-10.

All you will need is a pin board, pins. rubber bands and numbers (we used our fridge magnets, but you could just write them out on small slips of paper). Due to the nature of pins, children under the age of 5 should be supervised at all times. I did this with our almost 5 year old daughter. She chose where on the board to place the numbers, and placed the pins into the board herself. It's then a simple case of stretching the rubber bands between two pins in sequence of the numbers; this is also a great fine motor activity.

Check out our video below to see how a 5 year old tackles this challenge.
